We begin every new patient relationship with a 15-minute complimentary consultation, available in person or via telehealth.

This is a no-obligation conversation designed to:

There is no pressure to enroll. We believe the right care relationship should feel clear, comfortable, and aligned.

Step 2: Choose the Care Path That Fits You

Zen Medical Clinic operates on a membership-based, cash-pay model. We do not bill insurance for visits, which allows us to offer longer appointments, smaller patient panels, and more thoughtful care.

You may choose from:

  • Primary Care Membership with Integrative &Functional Medicine Care Membership

  • Household Membership

  • À La Carte Visits (after onboarding)

Each option is designed to provide calm, relationship-based care with clear, predictable pricing.

Step 3: Complete One-Time Onboarding

Once you decide to move forward, all new patients complete a one-time onboarding process. This ensures your care begins with clarity, safety, and a deep understanding of your health history.

Onboarding includes:

  • Chart creation and medical record review

  • Review of your intake forms and health history

  • Provider pre-visit assessment

  • Coordination of lab work (through insurance or private pay options)

This process allows your provider to care for you thoughtfully from day one—without starting from scratch at each visit.

How Our Model Works With Insurance

Zen Medical Clinic does not bill insurance for office visits. This allows us to focus on time, listening, and quality rather than volume or billing requirements.

However, insurance can still be used for many aspects of your care, including:

  • Lab work

  • Imaging

  • Specialist referrals

  • Many prescriptions

This model works especially well for patients who:

  • Do not have insurance

  • Have high-deductible or catastrophic insurance plans

  • Are self-employed or small business owners

  • Want predictable healthcare costs without surprise bills

You don’t need insurance to have a primary care doctor.

HSA & FSA Payments

Many of our services are HSA and FSA eligible, depending on your plan.

Patients often use HSA/FSA funds for:

We recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator, but this is a common and flexible way patients invest in their care.
